Well, Janielson here:) its our last few weeks together before each of us move on with our future endeavours in life. It will be a while we shall meet again..

Ive just talked to my friend ZACK, he told me that the print for tee he's going to deal with us is $11. Its silk-screen print, the most durable print unlike those heat transfer.

We are going to use SP Dry fit tee, depanding on what tee colour you want, black or white. So yar.. we have to buy our own SP tee.

hey people.
enjoying your holidays? a few more weeks before school reopen.
and then we are 1A22. haha.

anyway, i have a maths IQ question for you geniuses. :D
so it goes like this...

There are two lands and connecting these 2 lands is a bridge.
There a 4 guys, A, B, C and D. And there is a torch light.
This bridge is very interesting.
It can only occupy 2 guys at a time.
And it is also very dark. Hence, the need for the touch light.
'A' takes 1 minute to cross the bridge.
'B' takes 2 minutes to cross the bridge.
'C' takes 5 minutes to cross the bridge.
'D' takes 8 minutes to cross the bridge.
So, i will need you guys to give me the shortest time possible for all 4 guys to cross the bridge.

An example for a possible answer:
1st: A and B cross the bridge, and then A comes back with the torch light - 2+1=3 mintues.
2nd: A and C then cross the bridge, with A coming back with the torch light - 3+5+1= 9 minutes.
3rd: A and D then finally cross the bridge and all 4 guys are across the bridge already.
which gives a total time of: 9+8=17 minutes.

yeaps, so i need you all to give me the shortest time possible.

3 more hours, yet, Im camping for the RESULT!

Anyway people, Ive came up with the design of the class tee/ hoodie. Comment for the design first, then to what we want, be it the hoodie or the tee. Tee will be that the picture will be at the back.

Anyway, one of my friend told me that our class will be changed to 1A22 for next sem, so Im wondering if you still want 1B22 or 1A22.

Oh, my friend just told me that he can offer us the print on TEE for 18bucks. And he suggested that we CAN use the SP shirt to print. I find it a great idea, which allow us to svae space below.

I dunno why I drew a Mario, but for what I know, Im more to the pixel kind, maybe also because we are on a mission to get something, thus.. yea, MARIO. xD I do until got illusion siol.

Hunks and babes of i-22!

Please be reminded of our Sungei Buloh trip on Tuesday. Yes, it's been changed from Monday to Tuesday, 23rd June 2009.

The trip is compulsory and those who cannot turn up are to give Mentor Sharlin a reason.

Please try and be punctual and be at the foyer by 8am sharp. Other classes have students turning up late and the driver got angry and scolded the teachers, cuz apparently the driver had to go to another place after driving us there.

For those who are late, you have to find your own way there.

If you guys have your own DSLR cameras, you can bring them, as Mentor Leon can only spare about 13 cameras for our class.

Also, lunch is not provided, so it'll be good to bring some cash, yea?

1) Wilkins is now officially a dog owner! Congratulations!

2) Chalet has been changed to BBQ pit at ~~West~~ East Coast Park on the 24th June, Wed! Be there or be square!

3) Our 3 weeks of vacations have started! Don't forget your assignments! WEBP, CRS, VAF and 3DF! (Sheesh, some vacation, eh?)

4) Don't forget to attend your respective CCAs! Think of all those CCA points that you'll miss out on!

Vacation Updates!

It's the vacation! It's a time when we can all be a little more flexible with our time. If there is a doubt you've always wanted to clear but kept forgetting to do it during the weekends, this is it! Do recap as much as you can and even read in advance while you can because it just gives you an edge to be informed.

Well...I know the CRS assignment was a disappointment for some of us (including me) but trust me, stay confident and do a little more homework this time round. Do your work and research as early as possible because it helps to just simply know more things in this module.

Next, for all those whose script wasn't selected to be used for the VAF assignment, do not be upset. I was impressed by some of your script that was shared today. Therefore, I strongly advise that you'd keep a backup copy of your own script because you never know someone might want to use it when you come out to work in the industry next time!

Speaking about VAF, this evening I had a good chat with Mr Quek about our class performance. He is very happy of our enthusiasm and strong spirit in class. He personally liked the way we handled the seriousness of our work like we have clearly shown today. (Hey, I clearly saw you doing the DVDE assignment even till the last minute when I was pitching. So don't pretend. XD)

However, he also commented that we should be more balanced in terms of doing our homework because if we focused too much on just one assignment at one time, it would create a ripple effect in the future and we would be missing out on a lot of the theories because we didn't balance the amount of effort that goes into each module and subsequently we might not be able to come up with good works.

Therefore, in conclusion, my advice is that we should take this vacation as a serious time to recap and relearn some things in which we might have missed out in class and maybe try out something new/stupid in order to explore a little by ourselves before we come back to class. Meanwhile, feel free to ask and check around on each other's performance to keep things in check!

Just a little note of advice however, not that I need to say it but I'm just reminding. Please remember to keep a backup copy of this assignment because it's your very first item in your Portfolio!

SUM UP FOR CHALET:

Since Melissa says 2days is the minimum, we will do a 3D2N one.
This is a "freedom" chalet, so people who need to leave or want to stay, be my guest~

So most probably we will have a bbq on the 1st day, depending on the dates we book and the dates that most people are free.
Dont worry if u miss the first day bbq, if we have leftover food from first day, we will have a second bbq on the second day! THINK OF THE PEOPLE IN AFRICA!

Activities will be slowly planned, such as hijacking bicycles, skates, etc etc.

SO, if we were to book the chalet, 320, and i were to round up the price for one person, which will be 20, we will have 40 extra to buy bbq things. To be fair, do tell me whose staying and not for the chalet so i can recount.

Two weeks later is a special week. We are going to have the CRS lesson on Monday from 9am - 11am instead of on Tuesday. Mentor Sharon has done this change because she is rather busy that Tuesday for the student discussion. Although it's going to be a tough Monday two weeks later, it's going to be a rather easy Tuesday the next day.

The location of the class has not yet been confirmed. This change is only applicable to week 7 only, the preceding lessons in the following weeks will follow the default timetable.

Hey guys, for those who haven't activated your Adobe CS4 Web Premium bundle yet, here's something to take note while installing before going to ComTech just to be told that you have to reinstall everything.

1) For language, select English (International)
2) Choose Custom Installation. Do not choose Easy Installation.

Then, just tick the programmes that you want to be installed. I got kiasu, so I installed everything.

So far I only meet up with students from 1A03 & 1B/21 to discuss their sketches. The deadline for your assignment one is on 1 Jun 2009, 5pm and you have only 3 weeks to develop & execute the artwork. You need to quickly arrange a time slot with us to get your idea approved and loan out the camera for the photography shoot.

Just a reminder…images used in the collage should not be downloaded from the internet. All images must be captured using at least 5-6 megapixels camera. Images from handphone camera are not suitable for your artworks due to its low resolution and noise in the image.
